The OCOM Alumni Association, as a vital member of the OCOM community, fosters mutually-beneficial lifelong professional and social connections among its graduates; generates opportunities for alumni involvement with students and college administration; and promotes continued interest in the welfare of the college by facilitating the expansion of goodwill and communication between OCOM and its alumni body.
Vision Statement
The OCOM Alumni Association will always strive to be a vital partner in the future of OCOM by supporting the college’s mission of transforming health care by educating highly skilled and compassionate practitioners, providing exemplary patient care, and engaging in innovative research within a community of service and healing, and engaging its alumni in promoting the wellbeing of OCOM as an institution.
History
In December of 2008, fifteen OCOM alumni gathered to determine the feasibility of forming an alumni association. With the leadership and guidance of Lisa Francolini (OCOM 1995), subsequent meetings produced both a mission and vision statement, a set of bylaws, the core of a financial policy, and an active membership committee.
